Rosemere supporters who worked hard to raise £112,000 for the Rosemere Burnley Chemo Unit Appeal last year got the chance to see just how the funds had been spent when the Primrose Unit opened last week in the Edith Watson Building at Burnley General Hospital.
Rosemere’s funds were used to provide a sensory room, an attractive and comfortable waiting area and screens in the main treatment room to give patients more privacy. The suite also includes a new state of the art Breast Cancer Clinic.
Patients will begin treatment in this amazing facility on Monday 18th December in an environment that is a world away from the previous facilities available. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the appeal, you have made a huge difference for many years to come for local cancer patients.
