What a fabulous first ever Clitheroe 5k Santa Dash we had on Sunday 24th November - Thank you to everybody who helped to ensure the smooth running of the event and to all our wonderful Santa Dashers!
This year’s Fylde Vintage Steam and Farm Show Rosemere Night was held again at Weeton Village Hall and was again a full house. The food, including cheese and onion pie, meat and potato pie and apple pie with cream, was served at 8pm and was delicious.
Extra seats had to be hastily brought in when on the day demand for concert tickets to see Clitheroe jazz legend Eric Ainsworth perform with friends at The Grand in a fundraising show for charity Rosemere Cancer Foundation pushed audience numbers beyond all expectation.
Thank you to Pauline and all at Burnley Pension Centre for raising a wonderful £686.00 for Rosemere by holding an 'upcycling event' and Radley handbag raffle back on the 27th September. Area Fundraiser Louise enjoyed hearing about the day when she went to meet Pauline and collect the money.
Area Fundraiser Louise had a nice surprise last week when 7 year old Lorien Crowther called in to the office to hand over her sponsorship following this year’s Walk The Lights. Not only did Lorien walk the 5 miles on the night with her Grandad but she raised a fantastic £100 in sponsorship too.
Well done and thank you - feel proud Lorien
