Our Cross Bay Walk is back for 2021!
We are excited that our popular Cross Bay Walk will be back on Sunday 6th June, with participants setting off at 3.15pm from Arnside Pier, to be guided across the sands of Morecambe Bay all the way to Kents Bank.
Always a great event whatever the weather, the route is approximately 7-8 miles long (subject to the conditions on the day) and it may involve some wading through deep water so unfortunately it’s not suitable for those with limited mobility, wheelchairs or pushchairs, or very small children - we recommend a minimum age of eight for children taking part.
Entries cost £15 for adults or £10 for under 16s, including a Rosemere t-shirt, and we’d love our walkers to raise as much as they can in sponsorship for Rosemere. (To download a Rosemere sponsorship form, to help you collect your much-appreciated sponsorship money for your challenge, please click here!)
There will be coaches available to transfer walkers who wish to park at Grange Station to the starting point at Arnside. Places on the coaches cost £3.00 per person, and MUST be booked in advance if you'd like one - you'll be sent a link to do this once you've booked onto the event. Well behaved dogs are welcome!
Parking in Arnside is available (although limited) and walkers who park there will need to get themselves back to Arnside after the walk - there is a train service, and timetables can be found online. Please be aware, there is no return coach.

Important information regarding the Covid pandemic:
On the day of the walk, participants will need to adhere to the relevant government guidelines around social distancing at that time. The event is solely out-doors and can be undertaken in a socially distanced manner. In the event of the government road map being changed between now and 6th June and the event being unable to go ahead on the 6th, we will seek an alternative date to complete the walk. If this isn’t possible, a refund will be offered to all participants.
If you have any queries about the event, please don't hesitate to get in touch with the charity team - you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call on 01772 523728.
