TK Maxx Store Staff Help for Rosemere

The donation comes from a community fund the store chain operates. Colleagues can apply to the fund in support of local charities, which is just what former team leader Claire Miller did as a thank you for care her late father David Miller had received at Rosemere Cancer Centre.

Two other colleagues, who had also had family members treated at the centre, put their name to Claire’s application.

Claire (centre), who now works for Lancashire Constabulary, returned to the store to join frontline controller Ilona LipczyƄska ( right) in handing over the cheque to Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s trust and corporate fundraising manager Cathy Skidmore (left).

Why not volunteer?

Why not volunteer?

During December Rosemere awarded it's annual 'Emily Dibben Volunteer of the Year' award at the Volunteer and Supporters' Night. It is always such a hard decision to single an individual, couple or group out for this acknowledgement, as we have so many fantastic people who go above and beyond in their efforts to support Rosemere. We are truly grateful for everything that you all do for us and couldn't do what we do, without your kind support and generosity.

Congratulations go to this year's recipients Norma Blackburn and Margaret Dunn who received their award from last year's winner Frank Dinsdale. Margaret and Norma are masters at organising fund-raising events in support of Rosemere and also attend so many Rosemere events during the year, usually running a tombola!
