Entry opens for this year’s City of Preston Road Race
Entry is now open for this year’s annual City of Preston Road Race, and we are delighted that Rosemere Cancer Foundation has been chosen as the official race charity!
The five and 10-mile English Athletics recognised runs (sponsored this year by care home provider Athena Healthcare Group) takes place on Sunday, 9th August, setting off at 10 am from Walmer Bridge Village Hall. It follows a predominantly flat, fast course, so a great opportunity for a PB, and the event is open to all abilities.
As official race charity, Rosemere Cancer Foundation receives £1 for every runner that crosses the start line from the event’s organisers, the Central Lancs Running & Triathlon Club (CLAN).
In addition, the club has gifted Rosemere a number of FREE charity places – so if you’d like one, please get in touch! We’re asking all runners with a free place to try to raise a minimum of £50. CLAN also donates £10 to the charity for every person that volunteers as a race marshal, if they’ve come through us.
To sign up for the 10-mile race, entrants must be aged 16 and above. The entry fee is £22. Entrants to the five-mile race must be aged at least 15. Entry is £17. To enter, click here!
To request a free place or volunteer as a marshal, telephone Rosemere Cancer Foundation on 01772 522913 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
