As many of you already know, I will be retiring as Chief Officer at the end of May after 22 years with the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. It has been a roller coaster of a ride but without a doubt the very best part of my job has been getting to know and work with so many fabulous supporters, without whom we would not be where we are today. I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your dedication, passion and sheer hard work on Rosemere’s behalf over the years.
There is much for us all to be proud of, not least the success of the 20th Anniversary Appeal which with your help has raised a whopping £2.25m over the last two years. As a result, our regional cancer centre was the first in the North of England to install the very latest generation of surgical robot, patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria now have easier access to lifesaving cancer clinical trials and work will soon begin on the complete remodelling of the Ribblesdale Ward to make it the very best facility possible for both patients and their families.
So thank you all so very much for your support, both of Rosemere and of me personally. I will miss you all terribly but I know that under the Chairmanship of Peter Mileham, supported by our fabulous staff team, I am leaving Rosemere in very safe hands and I look forward to watching from the side lines as, with your help, they take Rosemere on to even greater things. Please keep on doing what you are doing! Love and heartfelt thanks to you all, Sue x
