Filming took place today to promote the Employment Service run by Lancashire County Council to help people return to work after cancer. The service is funded by the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and works with both patients and their employers to help overcome the barriers many people face in getting back into work following treatment. Wow, what a night it was on Saturday for Walk in the Dark. Thank you to everyone who took part and to the Eric Wright Group for their sponsorship. This was our biggest and best walk yet, with over 500 walkers joining us and returning safely. A few chose to run the route and reached Preston by midnight whilst those taking a more measured pace arrived a little later. Walkers then enjoy their brew and bacon or sausage butty kindly provided by the restaurant staff.
9 teams played two sets of 9 holes at the Stonyhurst Park Golf Club for the 8th Annual Golf Day. The event marked the first golf day of 2017 organised by the Rosemere Golfers Against Cancer and after a cold start to the week the weather was perfect for a round of golf and of course in the beautiful surroundings of Stonyhurst College and the Ribble Valley.
